CHRIS ISAAK TO PERFORM IN THE 86TH ANNUAL MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 22ND!

FOLLOWING THE NOVEMBER 19TH RELEASE OF CHRIS ISAAK LIVE! BEYOND THE SUN DVD/BLU-RAY

November 13, 2012 – Chris Isaak, currently in the midst of an international tour behind his critically acclaimed album Beyond The Sun, will make a special stop in New York City to perform in the 86th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 22nd. This iconic American artist—“one of the great pop voices of modern times,” according to the Austin American Statesman—is an inspired choice to star in the nationally televised event, a beloved tradition marking the beginning of the holiday season in the U.S.

Isaak is part of a diverse all-star lineup riding the Ocean Spray “Woodland Family Gathering” float. The lavishly appointed float will lead the parade as it heads southward from 77th Street and Central Park West to Columbus Circle, turning east onto Central Park South and following a new path via Sixth Avenue/Avenue of the Americas to Macy’s Herald Square on 34th Street, where Isaak will perform. More than 3.5 million people will gather along the parade route, while 50 million-plus will watch the festivities on television. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on NBC from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in all time zones.

Isaak’s parade performance will take place three days after the November 19th release of CHRIS ISAAK LIVE! BEYOND THE SUN, a special live concert DVD and Blu-Ray package on Vanguard Records. Recorded February 13th at the Moody Theater in Austin, TX before a live studio audience, this stunning performance showcases Isaak’s powerful voice and disarming personality, as he and his superb band Silvertone power through signature hits like “Wicked Game,” “Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing” and “Somebody’s Crying.” These originals are rolled out alongside classic songs from Beyond The Sun—a personal tribute to the glory days of Sun Studio producer Sam Phillips and the music created by Isaak’s heroes (Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison and others) in that legendary Memphis studio.

On Nov 11, I saw concert @ Beacon Theatre NYC (had been postponed a week due to Hurricane Sandy). Was also after election day. I had made a t shirt to wear on 11/2 (original date) that read "Chris Isaak for Presdent" When new date of 11/11 was set, i figured i'd wear that shirt ..... Holy Cow, I got picked to go on stage and dance... how cool... best day... Thank you Chris Isaak for being so cool... Caryn D., Port Chester, NY

Chris, Mr. Isaak.....Thank you very much to you and your band. It was an absolute dream come true to see you perform last night at the TAFT theater in CINCINNATI, OHIO. I have been a fan of yours since I was a teenager. I am now 42 and I must admit that I acted just like a teen last night. I couldn't believe I was actually seeing you sing all the songs that I have loved since I first heard you sing Shadows In A Mirror. I have been hooked on you since. I kept telling people that you are my "ELVIS" , or my "BUDDY HOLLY". I grew up listening to Buddy, my dad's favorite. I was so amazed at the wonderful job that you have done in honor of all of the truly great singers that I grew up listening to. I always felt that I grew up in the wrong generation, but you have changed my mind. Thank you for the wonderful concert, I truly can't say enough how happy and excited I was to see you perform. I must admit that I was a bit jealous of the blonde in the leopard dress tho!!! I was trying to sneak a picture of her at the door because she was so brave to wear what she had on.....haha, and then she ended up on stage with you....oh i couldnt stop laughing!!!!! If I ever get a chance to see you again I will definately have ideas on the dress code!!!lol. Thank You so very much for one of the most awesome nights of my life, you are truly one talented man. Thank you for coming to CINCINNATI!!!! Please come again!!!!

I cannot wait to see him perform Thanksgiving Day, he deserves to be there. He misses being at home for alot of holidays. They have not aired the show on our PBS station where I live so I cannot wait to get my DVD (on pre-order). I had the pleasure of meeting Chris, Nick and Kenny in Sept., they were all so down to earth and friendly. I l loved the behind the scenes video, so sweet when they met Wanda Jackson and Rodney is always
